Terms of service
Last updated: October 26, 2026
By using Team Gammon you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.
1. The game
Team Gammon is a free online game for personal, non-commercial use. There is no money, prize or wager in it. We may change, pause or end any part of it at any time.
2. Accounts and guests
- You can play as a guest or create an account with a name and a password. You are responsible for your password and for everything done with your account.
- We hold no email address, so we cannot recover a lost password.
- Choose a name that is not offensive and does not pretend to be someone else. We may rename or remove accounts that break this rule.
- You can delete your account at any time from the start screen.
3. Fair play and behaviour
Please do not:
- use programs that play or choose moves for you, or exploit bugs to win;
- harass, threaten or insult other players, or post hateful, unlawful or sexual content in names or chat;
- spam, advertise, or share other people’s personal data;
- try to break into the service, overload it, or sign up in bulk with automated tools.
Talking with your partner about your next move is part of the game. Leaving a running game or running out of time loses it for your team.
4. What you write
You own your chat messages. By sending them you let us show them to the other people at the table and keep them as described in the privacy policy. We may delete messages, tables or accounts at any time, with or without notice, to keep the game friendly and safe.
5. Bots
Bots are computer players. A bot may play well or badly and may make moves you do not expect. Bot strength levels are only a rough guide.
6. Availability
The game is provided “as is” and “as available”, without promises that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. When the server restarts for an update, games in progress end and are recorded as abandoned.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the game. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
8. Ownership
The software, design and bots of Team Gammon belong to us, except for open-source components that stay under their own licenses. Backgammon and Plakoto are traditional games that nobody owns. You may not copy or resell our software or branding without permission.
9. Ending and changes
You may stop using the game whenever you like. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms. We may update the terms and will change the date above; using the game after that means you accept the new terms.
